Living Stones Fellowship is a growing, non-denominational congregation committed to being "Unconventional, Uncompromised, and Unashamed." This makes us, well, an "un-church". . .

UNCONVENTIONAL:

There are many wonderful, life-giving churches in the Kansas City area. Each of them has their own unique "flavor" and ability to meet the needs of those people who have linked with their vision. But for some Christians, there is still something their spirits are longing for, and they find themselves in a spiritual rut. They are looking for something "outside the box." Our commitment at Living Stones is to be "unconventional" in the sense that we will not be tied to the conventional American format of what a church service should be like. Our primary focus is to fulfill Christ's commission that His house should be called a house of prayer. We are committed to being led by the Holy Spirit and not by a format each and every service, being open to any way He chooses to move among us even if it is "unconventional." By having "ears to hear what the Spirit is saying," we hope to persuade those who have grown weary of church life to come back into the fellowship of the Body of Christ and experience a fresh relationship with the Lord.

UNCOMPROMISED:

We also feel that in this day and age we are too often concerned with not offending anyone, being ultra-tolerant of others' beliefs. This attitude has caused some churches to water down the gospel and no longer teach the entire truth of Jesus Christ. At Living Stones Fellowship, we are committed to presenting the gospel in truth and in its entirety. And we can't deceive people into thinking that if they become Christians they will no longer have problems or that they have no responsibility towards God and others. People need to know what they are signing up for! There is no such thing as partial commitment. At Living Stones Fellowship, we will stand uncompromised in the face of an ever-compromising society.

UNASHAMED:

Most Christians will tell you that you need to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. We at Living Stones want to take that a step further and say that Jesus is our very public Lord and Savior! We want to live out our faith in such a way that everyone in our sphere of influence cannot mistake the mark of Jesus Christ in our lives. Our faith will be a 24/7 kind of faith. We will walk it out knowing that God sees every move we make and so does the world. None of us are perfect; we all have sin issues to deal with. But at Living Stones Fellowship, we are committed to being real with one another and being genuine in our faith. We will accept you where you are at, but love you enough not to let you stay there. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16
